All energy powers, kinetic abilities, physical powers, and transportation powers work against or on any character at any level. The only variant is their strength at certain levels, which is dictated to each individual character by the
Powers That Be and are kept on file in the
Power Records in the
Characterology forum. However, there are certain exceptions with Mental/Psychic powers, which prove to be ineffective against characters at a higher level.
Power Offensive
- Level 1 - 3 are easily susceptible to all psychic and trance-like abilities of a Level 4. (i.e. Entrancement, Illusions, Hypnosis, Mind Control, Premonitions.)
- Level 4 - 12 are not susceptible to the psychic and trance-like abilities of a Level 4. (i.e. Entrancement, Illusions, Hypnosis, Mind Control, Premonitions.)
Power Defensive
- Can voluntarily break free from the psychic and trance-like abilities of a Level 1 - 4. (i.e. Entrancement, Illusions, Hypnosis, Mind Control.)
- Cannot voluntarily break free from the psychic and trance-like abilities of a Level 5 - 12. (i.e. Entrancement, Illusions, Hypnosis, Mind Control.)
Magic Attributes
The three forms of magic are free to be practiced by all characters, yet some breeds are not successfully magical oriented, i.e. Whitelighters and Darklighters.
Spell Casting
The ratio of successful spells cast by a Level 4 are 4:10. Meaning for every four spells that yield any type of result, six more spells will fall flat.
- Certain species that aren't "spell oriented" fall below the ratio such as gypsies, firestarters, or Whitelighters.
Scrying
The ratio of receiving a scrying result for a Level 4 are 2:8. Meaning for every two scrys that yield any type of result, six more scrying attempts will fall flat.
Potions
The ratio of receiving a potion result for a Level 4 are 2:6. Meaning for every two potions that yield any type of result, four more potion attempts will fall flat.
- Certain species that are "potion oriented" are ranked above the ratio such as gypsies.
Perception Attributes
"Aura Protection" dictates the character levels that cannot read a Level 4's breed or level, while "Aura Perceived" dictates the character levels that can read a Level 4's breed or level. Perception attributes only apply to those who possess perception powers, such as Sensing.
