Through the month of June and July, bands ranging from
The Vanishing to Fight For Honor are scheduled to perform for
P3's annual summer jam concert. Pulling in high priced acts such
as these has established P3 as one of the leading nightclubs
within the city, and owner Piper Halliwell wouldn't have it any
other way.
"What can I say? I'm a bit of an over achiever."
Halliwell stated in an interview earlier this month when she
first began publicity for the annual event. When asked how she
was able to pull in such a repertoire of some of today's hottest
music acts, she humbly stated, "I think that it just goes
to show how far P3 has come. Everyone here works their butts
off and to see it paying off in such an exciting way is pretty
much priceless."
Priceless may not be the right word for it. With a cover charge
of fifteen dollars and an estimated attendance of over fifteen
hundred club goers weekly, Miss Halliwell is in for a big payload.
Last night's concert featuring the crowd drawing bands Chaos
Theory and Eyes Set To Kill was packed with individuals from
opening until closing, and the momentum doesn't seem as though
it will be waning anytime soon. Both Chaos Theory and Eyes Set
To Kill are set to continue their run through the current weekend,
and starting July 6th, October and Kudzu Hill will begin their
leg of the summer jam concert.
Miss Halliwell has proven herself to be a people pleaser,
giving her consumers exactly what it is they want. A skill she
seems to have learned early on in her life, as Halliwell states,
"When you grow up as the middle child, you're forced to
play both sides and you learn how to keep everybody happy just
so you keep your own bit of sanity."

...but the trouble is, we're constantly
trying to do it alone. Sometimes we need a support system.
For instance I wouldn't be able to do
my job if I didn't have the love and support of my family to
help me along the way. My sisters have been a defining support
system in helping me stay focus with my life goals and I'm forever
grateful to them for that.
Try surrounding yourself with a support
system that you can lean on in times of stress. People who can
reassure you that despite the constant messes being made after
you've done your job -- that you are making a difference.
Through perseverance you are helping to ensure the world's
cleanliness; one trash can at a time.
