Deity Powers
Deity powers are supernatural abilities that manifest in deities, mainly those who have cults or followers as it is the Faith of their worshipers that enhances their godlike powers. Diety powers tend to be extremely potent supernatural abilities that only enhance the already unstoppable nature of a deity. Below is a list of deity powers expressed by characters within Only After Nightfall.
List of Deity Powers
Energy Manipulation
Ability to draw power from large or small but abundant sources of energy, such as turning kinetic energy into physical blasts or converting solar energy into other forms. Sometimes based on proximity to source, sometimes stored for future use. The traits of this power include: concussion beams, energy blasts, energy constructs, energy conversion, and forcefield generation.
Essence Manipulation
Ability to draw power from the life energy flowing throughout the world they inhabit. The traits of this power include: power absorption, power augmentation, power bestowal/negation, and power sensing. Also includes the innate control over all spirit forms.
Molecular Manipulation
Ability to mentally manipulate the molecules of objects and/or one's self on a molecular level allowing for reanimation, shape-shifting, healing, combustion, size shifting, and density shifting. Also includes the manipulation of the natural senses and urges.
Reality Manipulation
Ability to change or manipulate reality itself. The traits of this power include the skill to reshape matter and energy, create or alter life forms, and turn a person's thoughts or desires into reality. Also includes potent psychokinetic abilities.
Time Manipulation
Ability to affect the flow of time by slowing, accelerating, reversing, or stopping it. Also includes the limited ability to see across time through precognition and retrocognition.
Weather Manipulation
Ability to control or mentally affect the weather. This includes the ability to generate various natural phenomena (rain, tornadoes, lightning, earthquakes, ocean currents, etc.) or control the intensity of the weather.
