Levels of Advancement
Strength Level Zero / Strength Level One

This ability grants the user dominion over one of the four basic elements, which in this case would be fire. At first, the user will only be able to create fire, setting inorganic materials ablaze either through sheer force of will or unintentionally when experiencing heightened aggressive emotions such as anger or frustration that will cause the power to trigger. Once created, the fire will burn or die out as any natural fire would since the user has no further control over it.

Duration Period: Three consecutive in-character posts.

Interval Period: Five consecutive in-character posts.


Strength Level Two

At this level, the user gains more control over the flames, allowing them to affect the heat intensity of the flames at will. Increasing the intensity will cause the fire to burn hotter, catch surrounding materials alight and burn longer, making it more difficult to cease. By decreasing the intensity of an existing flame, the user is able to snuff out existing fires no matter the size – though it may take a great deal more concentration and time to end an inferno as opposed to snuffing a candle.

Interval Period: Five consecutive in-character posts.


Strength Level Three

There are two major advancements at this stage. The first allows the user to generate flame willfully, without the need to set an object ablaze. The flame can be generated in midair and maintained by the user’s will to keep it alive. A second advancement gives a much greater control over the flames beyond their heat intensity, allowing for manipulation of their movement and shape. These two advancements paired together grant the ability to craft fireballs. These fiery projectiles can be hurled at enemies, setting their clothing on fire and giving them second and third degree burns.

Strength Level Four

It is a myth that all witches’ familiars are feline in nature. The witch with control over the element of fire is able to craft an independent familiar with their power, granting an intimate and powerful connection between the pair. The familiar, when made of fire, is known as a salamander and can be summoned by the witch. It will last only a short period (five consecutive in-character posts) before disappearing. Elemental familiars are independent creatures that provide guidance and assistance – though not always in the fashion that the witch imagines it will do so.

Interval Period: Three consecutive in-character posts.


Strength Level Five

The upper limits of the potential heat intensity grows immensely at this level, allowing the user to craft the coveted “blue fire” at will. Blue fire is more powerful than the commonly seen red and orange flames, making the potential and probability for destruction that much higher. There is no material that will not succumb to the power of this flame – metals will melt, sand will become glass and glass will shatter, and all else will burn. When coming into contact with blue fire, mortals will receive third degree burns if lucky. Most will die.

Interval Period: Two consecutive in-character posts.


Strength Level Six

Through devout concentration and expertise manipulation of the flames, a user can generate a humanoid being of red fire. Like a real fire, this being will seem to take on a life of its own once created. It will act independently of the user until it burns out after five consecutive in-character posts. It is not possible to create a creature out of the flames of blue fire, which is too unruly and powerful to maintain a predetermined form. Also, a summoned elemental being will now last for ten consecutive in-character posts before disappearing as well.

Interval Period: Two consecutive in-character post.


Strength Unlimited

In addition to all of the base level aspects of this power, the user is now capable of reaching even higher temperature flames than before. Even hotter than blue fire is white fire, which will instantly vaporize nearly any matter it comes into contact with including humans, leaving nothing but ash in its wake. Up to five humanoid beings can be created at any one time, each one lasting a maximum of ten consecutive in-character posts. An elemental familiar will remain indefinitely until it is banished by the user. All other limitations remain the same.

Duration Period: Ten consecutive in-character posts.

Interval Period: One consecutive in-character post.
